the shampoo bottles say ichikami. ichi (E-ch-E) means ” number one” and kami means “hair”

@anneorshine I’m surprised Target let you return any used makeup. They usually don’t. I’ve even tried to return makeup before and they said they don’t take back used products.

I know you like natural products. I love this all natural no chemical skincare line called Ma Mi Skincare. It’s marketed towards new moms but I use it because it’s affordable and has AMAZING ingredients. Plus, if it’s for new moms it must be potent. I think they work great and are affordable. Just google Ma Mi Skincare if you’re interested! I’m not affiliated just a fan of yours.

@anneorshine And also, I find that my hair is not sticky or weighed down after using silicone-free products. The white flakes that had plagued me for so many years have disappeared as well! (another result of heavy silicone). I truly believe in this after doing much research, and trying it on my own and having my friends try it. But as you said, it’s never a win-win, because the regular products give such fast result, despite the long-term damage. I miss the fast-fixes =(

@anneorshine You are welcome =) For non-sulphate and silicone shampoos and conditioners, it takes about at least a week for the hair to be accustomed to the change (since they have become dependent of those two chemicals). For a cheap silicone-free conditioner, Tresemme Natural is a good choice. For shampoo, I use Live Clean..but I heard that it’s only available in Canada. Tresemme Natural’s shampoo is low in sulphate, and you can buy sulphate-free shampoo in most grocery stores.

@videomaster120 the quality is pretty good… I actually prefer it over my mac stuff. the only difference is that they don’t market as much as mac… therefore they don’t seem fancy. mac is actually not top quality.

I looked up the ingredient lists to the shampoo and conditioner you mentioned, and noticed that the conditioner actually has a lot of silicone in it. That’s probably why your hair felt silky and would not curl. Be careful though, silicone apparently strips water off your hair and can contribute to hair loss. It is also difficult to remove, and that’s why most shampoo has sulphate in it (it’s the only thing that can remove it). Then again, most shampoo and conditioner are damaging like that…

I use the Japanese shampoo and conditioner after your last video about them. They are great! I love the smell; it’s like apples and cherry blossoms. My hair is in better condition now. It’s not as frizzy and my ends aren’t as rough.
