One Lipstick …..Many Different Ways to Wear it

This video is a guide to applying lipstick and in it, I use just one gorgeously dramatic shade to show how versatile this classic product can be. After a decade that saw many of us wearing mainly lip gloss often with little colour, I am really happy that lipstick has been making a real comeback over the past few years. This video covers all the different ways to apply lipstick well so that I will not only look great but also last. Some of you may be thinking “this sounds familiar” and you’d be right as I did make a similar film about 18 months ago, which I absolutely loved but had to take down, as there were some technical problems. I decided to remake it as I felt it was such a good ‘tip heavy’ and useful one! I believe that with one great lipstick and a little know how you can achieve so many different looks and effects. One lipstick can really take you from day to night, work to party, even if, as I demonstrate, it’s a very bold or bright shade. I hope you enjoy watching and are inspired to try out some of the different techniques with your own lipsticks.

i like the cream blush technique. i have known that lipstick can be used as blush, but didnt know exactly how. and i had tried myself with my own stupid technique, and thought it didnt work hahaha thanks to this tutorial

However, it was obviously clear that you were not merely stating a fact, but offering an opinion that was not welcome, constructive or necessary and just plain rude.

Thumbs up if you couldn’t give a damn about Michelle Phan’s video (which is fine too, in its own right), and think everyone should shut up about it.

@reikodiana I merely used that to point out that Michelle’s channel IS a bit more welcoming, which is probably why she’s so popular. Her channel is especially welcoming to new makeup users. Lisa’s a bit intimidating for someone who just discovered the joys of makeup.

@stephisraddd Lisa Eldridge adds powder to make them more velvety. Also, that one slight difference certainly doesn’t debunk the observation that these videos are very, very similar:P

@tumtumpopstar123 how dumb do you think michelle is? how can she not think no one would know? lisa eldridge is famous in the guru section, she would know everybody would notice if she did something like that. the technique michelle said were so basic every makeup artist knows about it, if you look back at her old videos she uses the same technique. Powder and lipgloss are so basic. Also she uses eyeshadows on her lips to shape them.
i guess i should thank michelle phan’s video for introducing me to you. you are awesome! i cant stop staring at your lip lolll
